How to update localization project terms

Owner Admin

There are two ways in which you can edit a term in a localization project on POEditor.

Edit terms in the Terms page

The following roles have access to the Terms page: project owner, project administrator, organization manager and organization owner.

Terms can be manually updated individually from the Terms page. To edit a term, simply click on it.

Edit terms icon (Terms page)

By default, the option Set all translations as fuzzy is enabled when you update a term. This marks the translations in all languages as fuzzy across the project, helping you and your localization team track changes. You can uncheck the option if the translations for this term do not need to be revised by your project contributors.

Edit terms (Terms page)

Once you're done editing, make sure to save your changes.

Update terms via API

To update terms with the API, use the terms/update method.

This option lets you change the text of the term, the attributes Context and Reference, its plural and tags. It also allows you to update more than one term at once.
