To enable 2FA for your POEditor account, follow these steps.

Step 1: Go to Account Settings > 2FA and type in your POEditor password to begin the setup.

Step 2: Add your POEditor account to the Authentication App on your device by scanning the QR code with your app. If you can't scan the QR code, manually enter the alphanumeric code from POEditor in your Authentication App.

Step 3: Enter the six-digit code from your Authentication App to finish enabling two-factor authentication for your POEditor account.

Step 4: Save the code to disable 2FA for your POEditor account. We strongly recommend you put this code in a safe place and make sure you don't lose it. If you lose your authenticating device, you won't be able to log in unless you have this code to disable the 2FA.

How to disable two-factor authentication

You can disable 2FA for your POEditor account using a time-based code from your Authentication App. If you don't have access to the device with the Authentication App, you can deactivate 2FA using the code received from us at the last step of the 2FA setup process.
