Free Accounts

Anyone who registers to POEditor gets an account with a Free plan on it by default. The free account can accomodate software localization projects summing up to 1000 strings, and can be used to contribute to projects owned by other users without any limitation.

A mobile app localization project or other small or medium software projects can usually be translated into a few languages using up to 1000 strings.

Free Open Source Project Localization

Open Source software can be localized for free at POEditor, without any string limitation. To localize Open Source software for free, a user needs to file an OS project request from the localization project's Settings, making sure their project fits the listed criteria.

Free for Students with GitHub

POEditor supports students interested in localization with a one-year Plus subscription as part of the GitHub Student Developer Pack.

The Plus-GitHub Education plan, which is completely free of cost, can be enabled by signing up to POEditor in this page. Provided that your student status is confirmed by GitHub, the plan will be automatically applied on your account upon creation.
