The Notify step in Workflows sends a custom email message to users assigned to your localization projects after a particular event takes place.
It can be used on its own, launched by one of the following triggers:
- New terms
- Language complete
- Language proofread
- Scheduled
- Manual
It can also be used as part of a multi-step workflow. To skip this step in a template that contains it, choose the option Nobody.
Who gets notified
You can choose which users receive the message by role (owner, admins, contributors without proofreading rights, contributors with proofreading rights).
Your custom email is sent to users according to their access in the project. So, for example, if you choose to trigger Language complete > Dutch, and select Send email to > Users with the role > Contributors with proofreading rights, only the contributors assigned to Dutch that have proofreading rights will be notified.
Good to know
Some triggers can make this step spammy (eg: Reference language updated, New terms) when making multiple updates in a short period of time.
To avoid sending too many emails to users, notifications with the same message will only be sent once every hour.
