Screenshots are very useful for translators working on a localization project, as they can show exactly where a string appears in the software that is being localized.
In POEditor, you can share images with your translators using the Comment System.
Comments can be added in the Terms page by admins and project owners, and in the language pages also by contributors with access to those languages.
Upload screenshots directly in the comments section
To add a screenshot for a particular string this way, click on the comment icon next to the string.
Then click on the photo icon in the comment box. You can select the image from your computer, drag it, or paste it in the comment box from your clipboard. This will generate a public link to the image you uploaded.
After the link for the uploaded image appears, click Add to insert it in the comments.
Upload screenshots somewhere else and link them in the comment section
Upload the screenshots somewhere, where it is most convenient for you (on your site or on a file hosting website, for example). Then, copy/paste each link in the comment section of the corresponding term. This option can also be used to send links to screenshots to a POEditor project via API.
When your translators will open the comment section, they will get a preview of the image that was linked there, which can be enlarged by clicking on it.
The screenshot links you add in the first comments in your localization project using the Terms page or the Import functionality in the project page will be preserved in your exported localization file, regardless of the language you export from.
