The POEditor language list follows the ISO 639-1:2002 list, and includes other official country languages as well.
In case you need to localize your app or website strings into a language which is not in our language list, you can add a custom language.
How to add a custom language
Search for your desired language in the language menu and if you can't find it, click on the Add custom language link at the bottom of the language list
Give the custom language a unique name and code and choose from what existing language your custom language should inherit the plural rules. If you don't work with plural strings, choose any language for plurals (this field is mandatory).
How to edit a custom language
You can edit a custom language only if your role in the project is owner.
If you have the custom language in more than one of your projects, the changes will be applied accross all these projects.
To edit a custom language, click on the Change language button.
Then click on Edit Custom Language. You'll be able to change the name and the code of the custom language.
How to delete a custom language
You can delete a custom language from your account if you have this language in a single project.
To do this, go to that project and click on Remove language next to the custom language.
Then check the box also delete the language from my account and click Delete it.
Note that you need to have the owner role in the project to be able to do this.
